30-Second Agreements
Type a plain-language description like "$500 split into 2 milestones, due in 2 weeks" and Pacterms auto-detects the amounts and dates to draft a real agreement for freelance project work. It goes out over SMS, and the other party confirms with a tap. They never need a Pacterms account.
Free Invoices
Every account gets unlimited Pacterms-branded invoices, free, forever, with no trial window. Add a Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, or Zelle handle and it shows up as a one-tap pay button right on the invoice. "Quick" invoices work standalone too, with no agreement attached, for one-off jobs.
Add workers to a project and keep track of the work as it happens: logged hours and dated photos, all tied to the same job.
Team & Job Assignment
Add workers to a project so everyone tied to it, creator and crew, sees the same status, terms, and timeline in one place. This requires the Business plan (up to 5 members, shared branding, admin dashboard); it's not part of Free or Pro.
Time Tracking
A start/stop/break timer lives on every hourly agreement. Clock-in and clock-out are timestamped automatically as you work, and the logged hours feed straight into invoicing: no separate spreadsheet, no manual re-entry, no arguing about hours later. Available on every plan, including Free, for as many agreements as that plan allows.
Before & After Photos
Attach geo-tagged before/after photos directly to a job: proof of completed work for a freelance project. They're stored with the job's record, not buried in a camera roll, and can be pulled straight into an Evidence Pack if a dispute comes up. Available on every plan, including Free. Each photo shows up on your client's own confirmation page too, where they can Accept or flag it, creating a timestamped record of what they actually reviewed, not just what you uploaded.
Propose New Terms
Scope changes mid-project are handled honestly: once an agreement is accepted, it can't just be silently edited. Instead, the creator proposes updated terms, and the client has to explicitly review and re-approve them before anything actually changes. Every version is kept on record, including the original, so there's never a dispute over what was agreed to and when.
Tax-Aware Invoicing
Some states tax services, some don't, and the rules are easy to get wrong. Pacterms flags when your state charges sales tax on the kind of service you're invoicing for, so it doesn't quietly become your problem after the client's already paid.
Payment Ledger
A per-client, per-job rollup of every agreement and invoice, showing exactly what's been paid and what's still owed as one running total, fed automatically by your invoices and payment milestones, not a separate thing you have to update by hand.
Upfront Deposit Gate
For agreements split into installments, the first installment is treated as the deposit, on by default. Later installments, and submitting deliverables for review, stay locked until you've explicitly verified that deposit as paid, not just uploaded. You can see exactly what's blocked and why on the job page.
Payment Screenshot AI Check
When a client uploads a payment screenshot, AI reads the amount, date, and any name shown on it and compares the amount against what's actually expected for that invoice or installment. Mismatches or off-looking dates get flagged to you with a clear "review before approving" warning and what the AI actually read; it never blocks the client from submitting, it just makes sure you know what to double-check.
Evidence Pack
A one-click PDF of the full paper trail: timestamps, payments, disputes, photos, SMS confirmations, built for disputes and small-claims. Every pack gets a SHA-256 hash computed at generation time, independently timestamped by a public RFC 3161 Timestamp Authority (DigiCert, with FreeTSA as fallback), and a public verification page so anyone can confirm the document hasn't been altered, without needing to trust Pacterms' word for it.
Pinned Job Diary
Pin receipts, contact details, reference photos, and private notes to a job as you go: out-of-pocket costs, a supplier's number, anything you want on record. Private by default, visible only to you. When one matters for a dispute, promote it with one tap and it's pulled into that job's Evidence Pack.
Recurring Invoices
Set a billing schedule once, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly, and Pacterms generates and sends each invoice automatically on schedule. Good for retainers or ongoing arrangements where you'd otherwise be recreating the same invoice by hand every cycle.
Escalations & Demand Notices
When a client stops responding to a payment reminder, Pacterms (Pro plan and up) automatically sends a sequence of formal demand notices and compiles the supporting Evidence Pack, so you have a documented paper trail if you need to pursue the debt further, without having to write and send those letters yourself. If it gets that far, you can also generate a draft small-claims complaint letter or, for a client who paid then reversed it through PayPal, Stripe, or their card issuer, a courtesy evidence summary pulling your real agreement confirmation, accepted deliverables, and photo history, ready to submit through that processor's own dispute process. Both are drafts you review and file yourself; Pacterms never submits anything on your behalf. Draft small-claims complaint letters are currently available for Texas; other states are in legal review and will be added over time. The demand-notice sequence and Evidence Pack are available everywhere.
SMS Reminders
Automated, polite payment nudges by text until an invoice is paid. Consent is explicit: the recipient checks a box on the agreement page before any reminder beyond the first transactional message goes out, and every opt-in is logged with a timestamp, IP address, and user-agent as a verifiable record. Replying STOP unsubscribes immediately.
Custom Branding
Replace the Pacterms name and logo on your invoices with your own. Free accounts get 3 lifetime custom-branded invoices to try it out; beyond that, custom branding is bundled into Pro and Business, or available on its own via the Invoice Monthly plan.
Bilingual, Built In
Every agreement and invoice works in English and Spanish, not a translated UI shell, the actual documents themselves. No separate setup or add-on; it's the same feature set either way.
Chain Non-Payment Support
"I can't pay you yet. My client hasn't paid me."
If you work under a contractor, you have no way to check whether that is true.
We are building the link: connect your agreement to the client job it belongs to, and the excuse becomes something you can see rather than something you are told.
Your own payment and escalation clock keeps running either way; linking never puts your protections on hold.
It will not make a client's money arrive faster. It will show you whether the delay is real, and get formal action moving sooner when it is not.
Reviewed by licensed legal counsel before anything goes live. One exception today: draft court complaints are generated from researched sources that have not yet been through that review — every one is marked DRAFT, is never filed for you, and states that Pacterms is not a law firm.
