No legal team. No retainer. Just clear agreements your client confirms by text, with an independently timestamped record that both of you keep.
Every document is checked against real state law and sealed with independent, verifiable proof, so it holds up when it matters.
Late fees, notice periods, and dispute rules vary by state. Every clause goes through independent research, verification against the statute text itself, adversarial fact-checking, and a licensed attorney’s review before it ever reaches your document.
Every invoice and agreement gets a unique digital fingerprint, timestamped by an independent outside authority, not us. Anyone can verify it later, no account required.
Pacterms exists because my own father, a freelancer, went unpaid again and again, with no real agreement in place and no way to enforce one. Before Pacterms I went from day-laborer wages to a Senior DevOps engineering career, teaching myself every step of the way. I built Pacterms the same way: directing every part of the system personally, and holding every state-specific legal claim back until a licensed attorney has checked it.

You send the terms. Your client texts back two words. Anyone in the world can check the result afterwards, without an account and without taking our word for it.
The fingerprint, never the document, goes to the timestamp authority. What comes back is proof the file existed at that moment, signed by a third party with no stake in either side of the deal.
Here’s exactly what happens the moment a document is sealed. No black box, just math and an outside witness.
The instant an invoice, agreement, or Evidence Pack is generated, we hash the exact file into a unique 64-character fingerprint. Change one character in the document and the fingerprint changes completely.
That fingerprint, never the document itself, is sent to an outside Timestamp Authority under the RFC 3161 standard. It signs and returns proof of the exact moment. If the request ever fails, we automatically retry overnight until it’s confirmed.
Every sealed document gets its own public verification page. No login required. Anyone can confirm the fingerprint and timestamp independently of Pacterms, using the same open standard.
From the moment your client confirms, every step gets time-stamped automatically: the locked terms, the logged hours, the photos, the invoice. If they ever deny what was agreed, you already have the file.
Every milestone gets an explicit sign-off from your client before payment is due. If they later claim the work wasn’t up to standard, at payment time or in court, the record already says otherwise.
Not just invoicing: a system that protects you before, during, and after the job.
Digital signatures tied to verified phone numbers and timestamps create an unbreakable proof trail.
Standardize your milestone payments. We automatically calculate and request deposits to keep cash flowing.
We do the awkward chasing. Automated SMS nudges until the invoice is marked as paid.
Professional legal translations built into every step. Close deals with clients in their preferred language.
Get automated evidence packs and professionally drafted demand notices to help you recover lost funds without the lawyer fees.

“Twenty years running a services company taught me collections are won at the proposal stage, not the courtroom. Deposits up front and milestone billing killed 90% of our non-payment problems before they existed.”
“I burned out on freelance work chasing down deadbeats; it wasn't worth the effort. If I were still doing freelance work, I'd sign up in a heartbeat.”
Nothing goes here until a real customer says it.
Add workers to a project, track hours with a start/stop/break timer, and keep dated before/after photos, all in one place.
"I can't pay you yet. My client hasn't paid me."
If you work under a contractor, you have no way to check whether that is true.
We are building the link: connect your agreement to the client job it belongs to, and the excuse becomes something you can see rather than something you are told.
Your own payment and escalation clock keeps running either way; linking never puts your protections on hold.
It will not make a client's money arrive faster. It will show you whether the delay is real, and get formal action moving sooner when it is not.
Reviewed by licensed legal counsel before anything goes live. One exception today: draft court complaints are generated from researched sources that have not yet been through that review — every one is marked DRAFT, is never filed for you, and states that Pacterms is not a law firm.
A public API is on our roadmap, so platforms, staffing tools, and CRMs can generate Pacterms agreements natively.
